This series began in 2018 as Our Child series in an emotional response to all the thousands of children being seized and put in cases at the US southern border. From the continued waiting for a humane resolution to the crisis, the artist was then drawn to the Syrian refugee crisis, and then the Afghanistan’s fall to the Talaban. In our histories, we are all immigrants except for the aboriginal peoples of each region. The change in climate and the culture of war continues the increase in massive migrations across the world. Thus the series becomes WE ARE ALL IMMIGRANTS.
